“Jiao Jiao” is a gyoza specialty shop from the Kansai region where you can enjoy 15 types of gyoza, made with 100% Japanese grown ingredients. Imaginative dishes like “Chicken Cheese Gyoza” with mozzarella and “Juicy Shrimp Gyoza” shine on the menu, but you have to first try their specialty “Jiao Jiao Gyoza”! The lauded gyoza was crowned champion in “Gyoza Stadium”, where gyoza shops from around the nation compete, two years in row.
Inside the crispy wrappers of these long, pinky finger sized gyoza are juicy goodness. The secret is all in their special wrapping technique that seemingly cuts grease while preserving the flavors inside, as well as their super thin wrappers and “Jiao water”, which is used when frying the gyoza. It’s delicious without sauce, but aside from the classic vinegar-soy based dipping sauce, you can also choose from a variety of miso based sauce, pepper miso, and crunchy chili oil. There’s more than one way to enjoy these morsels.
There’s the “Okigaru (Feel Free) Set” with draft beer, Jiao Jiao Gyoza, and one choice of side; “Ginger Gyoza With Spicy Daikon Sauce” that’s completely devoid of garlic, and “Chewy Rice Flour Boiled Gyoza” - all fun dishes that can only done by a gyoza professional. Also, there are 4 set meals, including “Jiao Jiao Gyoza And Grated Mountain Yam Set” and “Seafood Tomato Mapo Tofu Set” available during lunch service.
