■Yanagawa Tachibana-tei Ohana
The leisure home built by the fifth feudal lord, Sadayoshi Tachibana, became a house of Count Tachibana in Meiji period. The fourteenth family head, Tomoharu renovated into the state guesthouse with European style house and a Japanese style house with a great hall, which lead to now.

■House of Hakushu Kitahara, Memorial house


The poet who represents Japan, Hakushu Kitahara’s house’s main building is replicated.


↑In the house, valuable material of Hakushu is displayed.


↑After going through the house, it leads to the memorial house (Museum of History and Folklore of Yanagawa).

■ Old Doshimage Family’s House


It is a samurai house of Kanetomo Yoshida, who was a Churo of Yanagawa-han. This thatch roof house was built as his retirement home.




↑The garden seen from the sitting room is designated as a scenic spot by the country.

■Karatachi Bunjin no Ashiyu


It is a foot bath you can get in for free. It is located to right next to “Kanpo no Yado, Yanagawa”.

■Strolling next to the waterfront


The walk way along the uchibori course for Kawakudari is selected as one of the “best walkway in Japan”.
