Let’s go to “the journey to see the history and season” to the city of water, Yanagawa in the Yanagawa Tourist Train “Suito!!

“Suito” is…
Yanagawa Tourist train “Suito” started in 2015. With the theme of “tradition and seasonal color of Yanagawa”, it has design of traditional evets that has been held for a long time in the area such as Sagemon and Hakushusai, as well as flowers blooming at Yanagawa.
↑ In the cart, tourist areas in Yanagawa are explained in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (simple and original character).
Carts are fun and unique for train lovers, history lovers, and travel lovers!
The first car has the base color of dark black and light yellow with the theme of chrysanthemum and migratory bird.
The second cart has the base color of dark black and navy blue with the theme of “fireworks and Donkobune at Hakushusai”. With the theme of “Ariakekai Firework Festival” held twice a year and fireworks of “Hakushusai” in the late fall, this cart has design of fireworks over the night sky of Yanagawa and Donkobune boat parade in Hakushusai.
The third cart has the base color of dark black and greenish gray with the theme of “Irises” in the flower market of Yanagawa. This cart has the design of iris, which blooms everywhere in the city in late May to early June.
The fourth cart has the base color of dark black and deep green with the theme of “Karatachi no Hana (the flower of trifoliate orange). The lyric of the children’s song “Karatachi no Hana” was written by Hakushu Kitahara (a poet and children’s song writer) is themed after the school route for children. It has a design of trifoliate orange blooming white flowers in early May every year.
The theme color of the fifth cart is dark black and dark blue with the theme of “new greens of willow and streams ”. It has the design of bright new greens of willow casting its shadows in the canal.
The sixth cart has the theme color of dark black and deep orange with the theme of “Yanagawa ball and Hina festival”. It has the design of the traditional craft in the area “Yanagawa ball” which is essential for the spring festival “Sagemon Meguri”.

In the second cart, there is a replica of a cultural asset “Tachibana family” of Yanagawa-han.
There is a “commemoration stamp” below the display of local products, so please stamp it to remember your trip.
The pamphlet in the train is in English, Korean, and Chinese (Simple and original characters). Also, you can use “Nishitetsu Train Free Wi-Fi” for free.
【 “Suito” Train Information】
No reservation or train fee is necessary to ride “Suito”. You can ride it with a regular fare. It is 49 minutes from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station to Nishitetsu Yanagawa Station.
