Fukuoka, being a compact city have substantial transportation such as buses and subways. Since many residents’ in Fukuoka live close to their workplace and have short commutes, many people drink on their way home after work even on weekdays. However, with great acess to Hakata station and Fukuoka airport from Tenjin, the downtown, tourists can enjoy the night out and watch nightscape and night games, go on a bar and yatai(food stalls) hopping without being a local.
